I am an ecosystem ecologist with a wide range of interests, including the effects of perturbations on ecosystems, those of different drivers of global change on ecosystem functioning, and the biotic feedbacks between ecosystems and global change. Currently, as a FCT postdoctoral scientist at the Center for Functional Ecology (Coimbra, Portugal), my research focuses on the effects of human-driven perturbations on ecosystem processes in Mediterranean, semiarid, subtropical, and artic systems.
